What is a Transfer Roller good for?

They are good for rolling in stones and rolling out pugged paddock, rolling for grass grub.

Are they as effective as a large water filled roller?

In principle they do the same job, only the Transfer Roller takes a portion of weight off the tractor, you drive at a brisk pace, hitting the object with speed – where the impact improves the effect. In conclusion they do the same job, only doing it a lot faster.

Do you lose traction with tractor – transferring weight?

No, you don’t need to transfer a lot of weight, but you will want a 4wd Tractor.

What is the advantage of a Transfer Roller?

Being 3PL, Good for transport, if you get into a very wet spot – you can simply lift it up, keep going. Easier to transport from farm to farm on truck or trailer.
