We are proud to introduce the newest member of the Scimitar family, the Scimitar 6000 Trailed Fertiliser Spreader. Designed and built in Masterton for New Zealand conditions, the Scimitar 6000 is a heavy-duty 6 tonne spreader made for farmers and contractors who want accurate, even application without the hassle of constant maintenance.
Like every Scimitar machine, it has been designed with common sense in mind. It is easy to operate, simple to service and built to handle years of hard work on Kiwi farms.
Built for New Zealand farms
New Zealand paddocks are not always flat, dry or forgiving, so the Scimitar 6000 has been built to cope. The robust, modern-engineered chassis is hot-dip galvanised to stand up to fertiliser, weather and wash-downs, and a tandem walking beam axle comes as standard to keep the spreader stable and even over rough ground.
Riding on 400/60×15.5 wheels, the Scimitar 6000 spreads its weight well, helping to protect your pasture while you work. Front-end loader side protection beams guard the machine during filling, so a loader bucket does not have to mean a dented hopper.

Accurate spreading, every pass
Getting the right amount of fertiliser on the ground is where you see the return on your investment. The Scimitar 6000 uses electro-hydraulic belt control, so the belt is driven independently rather than off the wheels. That means no more slipping wheels throwing out your application rate on wet or steep ground.
GPS ground speed control comes as standard, matching the output to how fast you are travelling so the rate stays consistent whether you are speeding up across an open paddock or slowing down for a gateway. The wide 800 mm belt and stainless steel spinner discs deliver a reliable, even spread pattern.
The Scimitar 6000 is designed to handle the products New Zealand farmers use most, including urea, DAP, superphosphate and lime blends.

Low maintenance by design
Downtime in the middle of a spreading window costs money, so we have worked hard to keep maintenance to a minimum. A hydraulic pre-filter keeps the oil clean, protecting the valves and preventing problems before they start. Hopper mesh comes as standard to keep lumps and foreign objects out of the belt.
Safety and practicality have been thought through as well. Every Scimitar 6000 comes with mudguards, an inspection ladder for easy access to the hopper and hazard panels fitted as standard.

Options to suit your operation
Every farm runs a little differently, so the Scimitar 6000 can be tailored with a range of extras, including:
- JWE V3+ control system with spinner control, ideal for spreading down boundaries or around obstacles in the paddock
- Central greasing
- LED lights
- Roll over cover
- Hydraulic brakes on the front axle
